Hi, I'm Ali, a young physical therapist with big dreams. I graduated with my Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2018 from University of Toledo. My first job was as a traveling physical therapist, which brought me to Alabama. While having the opportunity to practice as a physical therapist in multiple states across multiple settings, including acute care hospital, maximum security forensic psychiatric hospital, skilled nursing facility, inpatient rehabilitation, and home health, I have noticed shortcomings and barriers of traditional rehabilitation concepts. I love physical therapy for what it is-- allowing patients to achieve their goals, but hate what it often becomes--a struggle to provide the level of care a patient deserves due to constraints of insurance companies and traditional business structures. Out of this frustration for what therapy has been turned into in traditional settings, my dream for Sweet Home Therapy & Wellness, LLC was born. I hope to provide the justified, necessary care to all of my patients with consistent, one-on-one patient-centered evidence based practice. Additionally, with my recent board-certified geriatric clinical specialist certification, I feel I can undoubtedly guide, not only adults in general, but especially older adults, to their goals with extra care and attention provided to age-specific challenges.
